Webinar Overview:

This is the 1st course of a 2-part webinar series, beginning with an introduction of basic concepts and foundational principles. We will review the benefits of tooth replacement using an implant, the requirements to place the implant and how to select the appropriate patients. This course will address straightforward implant restorations and how to avoid common mistakes. During this webinar, there will also be a discussion about abutments and material selection for single-unit restorations.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participant will learn about:

  • Implants vs FPD
  • Case selection and assessment
  • Radiological assessment of sites
  • Implant impression techniques for single and multiple units 
  • Implant abutment selection: type, design and material
  • Screw-retained vs. cement-retained implant restorations
